Welcome to
Professional Racquet Stringer Near Kuala Lumpur | KL
ERR’s racquet stringing service has been serving the Kuala Lumpur (KL) and surrounding areas for over a decade now. Stringing rackets in this western region has become quite a responsibility for me. Why do I call it a responsibility? It’s because over the years, I’ve encountered various individuals with different demands and preferences when it comes to badminton racquet stringing.
If I don’t continue to improve, some might think that stringing is an easy job. But it’s not. There’s a knack to mastering it, knowing what type of string and tension suits each player. While some business-minded individuals might see it as a numbers game, I, as a badminton enthusiast, believe that if you have the time, stringing your own racquet will make it perfect.
I started stringing racquets for students back in 2012 because they often complained about the quality of strings available outside. They’d say the tension wasn’t right, the feel during a game wasn’t comfortable, it was expensive, and not worth it. To eliminate their excuses and encourage them to practice more diligently, Mr. Eric purchased a manual stringing machine and underwent stringing training abroad.
To ensure our members have precise tension, ERR Racquet Stringing Service has set up various tests, allowing our members to experience the highest level of racquet stringing service. Without the trust of the players over the years, ERR wouldn’t have reached where it is today.
Professional Racquet Stringing Service | Internationally Certified Racquet Stringers
ERR Racquet Stringing Service follows the international standard of ‘pre-weaving’ stringing method. Many of you might have watched live badminton events like BWF tournaments such as the Malaysian Open, Singapore Open, OUE Singapore Open, and All England Championship. They all use the ‘pre-weaving’ method.
Why? Because ‘pre-weaving’ has disadvantages for stringers but only advantages for racket owners. Let’s talk about the advantages first. The primary benefit of ‘pre-weaving’ is that it preserves the quality of the strings. Many badminton enthusiasts in Malaysia often send their rackets to local shops for stringing.
Have you ever observed how they string the rackets? Do they pre-weave the strings before mounting them on the machine, or do they string them one by one after mounting? Most of them save time by pre-weaving, but it seriously damages the quality of the strings, especially the inner structure.
You may be familiar with the name of your badminton strings, but do you know what they’re made of? When a string breaks, you can see many fine white threads inside. Those are nylon threads.
Now, imagine if you pre-weave the strings before mounting them on the machine. The repeated friction and coiling will damage the nylon threads and compromise the structural integrity of the strings.
At ERR, we use the ‘string one by one’ method, and this makes a significant difference for our customers. This is where trust begins. Many of our customers, including national team players, entrust us with their rackets because they feel that our stringing doesn’t lose tension easily. They even find that a 28-pound stringing here feels like a 30-pound stringing from other shops.
Guaranteed No-String Distortion | Professional Racket Stringing in KL
ERR Racquet Stringing Service has always guaranteed our members that all racket stringing services are free from string distortion. Many players often focus on factors like string color and tension when choosing their badminton strings, overlooking the most crucial aspect, which is the quality of stringing.
What exactly is string distortion? As shown in the image above, it occurs when two strings are tightly pressed together, a mistake that no professional stringer should make.
String distortion can lead to severe damage to the nylon structure of the strings, affecting the overall tension of the racket. Inaccurate tension affects the string bed’s stability, causing inconsistent performance on the court, with varying levels of power and control. This inconsistency arises from the unstable tension caused by string distortion.
ERR has been committed to providing perfect stringing services to our customers over the years, ensuring that no string distortion is present when the rackets are in your hands.
We take string distortion very seriously, as it is a matter of professionalism. If any string distortion is found, ERR guarantees an immediate refund.
This commitment is to provide our fellow badminton enthusiasts with a truly international standard of professional racket stringing, where quality matters more than the few extra dollars you might spend on a racket that deserves the best in professional stringing.
Racket Stringing Clamp Tightness | Yonex Clamp Calibration in Singapore
Even though we use the world’s top-ranked Yonex stringing machine, the Protech series, we still ensure that our machines remain accurate at all times. No matter how good a machine is, there may come a day when it breaks a string or produces inaccurate tension. Therefore, we have a policy of sending our Yonex stringing machine heads for calibration testing every six months at an ISO IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. We wait for the calibration test results to pass before we continue using them.
In the event that calibration fails, we send the machine back to the headquarters for precision adjustments and then to the calibration laboratory for recalibration. We only bring the machine back to our service when it is accompanied by a calibration certificate, valid for six months.
While this process may be cumbersome and costly, ERR values the credibility that comes with it. We insist on having an external party test our stringing machine heads to ensure the accuracy of the tension. You can download our Yonex stringing machine head certificate.
String clamps also play a significant role, and improper clamp tightness can cause damage to the string’s inner diameter. For this reason, we send our clamps to a relevant testing company.
As the founder is not only a badminton enthusiast but also a certified badminton coach, he places great emphasis on these small details.
While all of this may require both time and money, for a badminton enthusiast who pursues perfection, it is a worthwhile investment. Please see our clamp certification.
Yonex Stringing Tools | Professional Yonex Badminton Racket Stringing Tools
We use stringing tools that are integrated with our stringing machine because the quality of your stringing is highly dependent on the quality of the tools you use.
No matter how good your stringing is, without the right badminton stringing tools, knowledge, and understanding of the racket, the strings may not perform to their full potential.
Our stringing tools are from Yonex, a renowned Japanese brand known for its precision and quality. These tools are made from high-precision materials to ensure accuracy.
Despite Yonex being a top-notch brand, we place great emphasis on cleanliness. Failure to keep tools clean can increase the likelihood of damaging the strings, such as rust or dirt contamination.
To prevent any such issues, ERR ensures that all tools are cleaned at least once a week, using alcohol to thoroughly clean each stringing tool.
We also clean every part of the stringing machine to ensure that the machine operates in a clean and perfect condition when providing racket stringing services.
Stable String Bed for Every Racket | Stability for Each Racket
A stable string bed can make a significant difference in how a racket performs. Many people understand the principles of string tension – higher tension requires a combination of body and wrist action for a smoother performance.
Lower tension, while offering greater elasticity, doesn’t necessarily translate to more speed. Many badminton enthusiasts seek high string tension for powerful shots, but they may forget to choose the right tension that suits their style of play.
String tension is crucial for amateur badminton players. Some players opt for high tension, thinking it will increase the speed of their smashes. However, high tension may not be suitable for everyone, as badminton skills require a well-rounded approach rather than relying solely on smashing.
The stiffness of the string bed can affect control – a stiffer string bed enhances control but reduces power due to limited string elasticity. Unless a player has excellent physical capabilities, they might not be able to fully utilize the benefits of high string tension.
On the other hand, a softer string bed offers less control but greater elasticity. By lowering the string tension, players can generate more power while maintaining smooth playability.
Original Grip Replacement for Rackets | Badminton Racket Original Grommets Replacement
Throughout our journey, we have been providing restringing services to our fellow badminton enthusiasts and replacing racket grips. Some rackets have dual-line holes for original grips, which typically require stringing at 27 pounds or higher. Prolonged use at high tension can damage these holes within about four months.
Failure to replace them can lead to internal damage to the racket frame. Therefore, whenever restringing is needed, we replace all damaged holes, including dual-line ones, to restore them to their original condition, just like the original racket grips.
Don’t worry about what others think of you earning ‘peanuts.’ I can only say that helping fellow badminton enthusiasts and professionally stringing rackets with passion brings greater happiness than just making money.
